Hello and welcome to the first ever VF Community Digest! 👋
I’m Kim, the Community Manager at Voiceflow and I’m so excited to kick this off.

Since last April our Discord Community has grown from 500 users to now over 7000+. We have recurring office hours, a templates gallery, an apps marketplace, a dev corner, community programs, a help channel, a jobs board, a feature request channel … the list goes on. It’s a wonderland of resources, that helps our users unblock, connect with us—and even build businesses with each other.

That’s what inspired the launch of our Voiceflow Community Digest ❇️

A bi-weekly newsletter that features VF product news, cool experiments, top resources, and stories from the community. Think of this as a sidekick that rounds up all the good stuff straight to your inbox. Let’s dig in.

Community-built apps: a Voiceflow app is a 3rd party tool that extends the native capabilities of Voiceflow.   • Voiceglow by Moe Ayman: Voiceflow functionality extender—for custom steps, conversations, analytics, KB dashboard, multi-channel integrations & more!

  • Zenflow by Bart Slodyczka: lets you connect your Voiceflow agents into the Zendesk Agent Workspace. Think of it as a customizable AI assistant for your CS team. All you need to do is build your Voiceflow agents.

  • FlowBridge by Mike Guimaraes and Jason Smith: comprehensive, easy to use platform that simplifies the process of connecting AI agents/AI chatbots to different communication channels like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook etc.

Upcoming Events 📆 

We occasionally run meetups and events in the community. They’re a great way to get involved!

Bi-weekly Community Office Hours: looking for live feedback or help on your project? Join us at our bi-weekly office hours in the office hours stage in Discord. Come out, ask questions, connect with users, or share your work—it’s an open space, no prior sign-up required. Every other session, we alternate our hosts between Nico (more dev-focused) and Daniel (non-devs).

  • Recurring bi-weekly office hours: every other Wednesday

App Builders Badge: we've set up a community apps channel to easily match our app founders to members like yourself. Think of it like a mini-marketplace.

New XP Points System: our server has been growing fast and we want to find a way to reward the most active users, engaged, and helpful users. As users level up, they unlock new perks in the community. The first person to reach level 10 will receive their very own Voiceflow cap.

Member Spotlights 🌟 

Meet Bart Slodyczka: Bart is the founder of Support Launchpad, Zenflow (a custom Voiceflow <> Zendesk integration), and the CCO at a global ecommerce brand. Safe to say, he’s an all around Zendesk expert!

We’ve been partnering with experts like Bart in our community to create Youtube tutorials on our channel. Bart just launched his first tutorial on integrating Voiceflow and Zendesk in a step-by-step walkthrough. Check it out.

Meet Josh Braaten: Josh is the founder of Daisy Pet AI: an AI-Powered Pet Care Smartphone App that lets pet parents raise healthier, happier pets while saving hundreds of dollars each year.

Last week he shared a demo of his progress at our office hours. Here’s why this demo was so special:

  • Great project to check out for anyone building an app with Flutter and Firebase and/or building an AI agent with a medical/care use case

  • Built a membership checker + a user chat count

  • Stripe connection that auto-fills the user ID/email/address for easy checkout

  • Connected with Google maps API to show location info for "nearest emergency vet"

  • Built in a diagnosis likelihood analysis
